Raimonds Pauls

Raimonds Pauls is a Latvian composer, pianist, and politician born on January 12, 1936, in Riga. He holds citizenship in Latvia, the Soviet Union, and Russia. Pauls has Latvian nationality and is known for his work in instrumental, jazz, and musical theatre genres.

He received his education at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, located in Latvia. He is also the founder of the New Wave competition, a music event held in Russia.
