Rachel Ruysch

Rachel Ruysch (1664-1750) was a Dutch painter and botanical illustrator, born in The Hague, Netherlands. As the daughter of Frederik Ruysch, she was primarily known for her work in the still life genre.

Throughout her career, Ruysch created notable pieces such as "Vase of Flowers" and "Still life with flowers on a marble slab". She gained recognition for her exceptional talent as both a painter and botanical illustrator.

Rachel Ruysch passed away on August 12, 1750.
