PlayNitride

PlayNitride is a developer of nitride-related materials and applications designed for use in microLED display technology. This includes the company's proprietary PixeLED display technology, which offers displays that are high resolution and have a high contrast ratio, a high aperture ratio, a fast response, and low power consumption. The company was founded in 2014 and is based in Miaoli Country, Taiwan.

PlayNitride has also developed its own epiwafer production process with its own stamp-based transfer technology and proprietary repair technologies. The company also works with companies including AU Optronics, TCL's CSoT, Samsung, RiTDisplay, and Tianma.

MicroLED refers to the miniaturization of the structure of the LED to make them more usable in smaller screens, such as smartphones, computer screens, cars, and watches, as well as in folding displays. For PlayNitride, the company's PixeLED displays are used in TFT-driven display technology, including in transparent displays, curved film displays, and folding displays. The PixeLED displays can also be used in PCB-driven matrix technology, offering borderless tiling for tile displays of any size and aspect ratio. And the μ-Pixel LED technology developed by PlayNitride has also been suggested for use in AR glasses and projection HUDs, offering high brightness for outdoor use and ultra-fine picture quality for smaller display details.

PlayNitride's PixeLED matrix is best used for display modules for televisions and signage, while the company works to continue to develop passive-matrix PMOLEDs with affiliate RiTDisplay for wearable screen technology.
