Paul MacCready (1925-2007) was an engineer, physicist, and aircraft pilot born in New Haven, Connecticut. He held citizenship in the United States. MacCready was educated at various institutions, including California Institute of Technology, Yale University, and Hopkins School. He is known for being the founder of AeroVironment and was posthumously inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2015. MacCready passed away in Pasadena, California in 2007.
