TPE Set up
PRISMAFLEX TPE 2000 can be used with the PrismaFlex or PrisMax Systems that are both also produced by Baxter International. It is only intended for use in TPE and is to be used to treat diseases where it is necessary to remove plasma components. Using the disposable set on one of the aforementioned systems, plasma is removed and pumped through the membrane of the plasma filter, while a colloid solution, such as albumin and/or plasma, or a combination of crystalloid/colloid solution, is infused post-plasma filter to replace the plasma that has been removed.
PRISMAFLEX TPE 2000 is intended to be used with adults and patients who have low body weight. It is only available through obtaining a prescription from a medical professional or physician.
