Olympe de Gouges

Olympe de Gouges , born on May 7, 1748, in Montauban, France, was a multifaceted and influential figure during her lifetime. She held various occupations, such as a playwright, journalist, philosopher, writer, politician, and suffragette. She was also known by the pseudonym, Polyme.

Her most notable work is the "Declaration of the Rights of Woman and of the Female Citizen", which solidified her place in the history of women's rights advocacy. Olympe de Gouges was a citizen of France and passed away in Paris on November 3, 1793.
