Michel Legrand

Michel Legrand was a French composer, actor, pianist, screenwriter, and film director born on February 24, 1932, in Paris, France. He studied at the Conservatoire de Paris. Michel was the son of Raymond Legrand, a well-known French conductor and composer. Legrand was known for composing in multiple genres including instrumental and jazz. He held French citizenship and nationality.

Throughout his career, Michel Legrand received several awards, such as the prestigious Grammy Awards and the Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental, and Vocals. He passed away on January 26, 2019, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
