MetaFactory (ROBOT) is a digital clothing marketplace built by community brands.
MetaFactory provides ANY community, project, or individual with the seamless ability to create, manufacture, sell, and ship customized products around the world.

MetaFactory is creating a new brand economy where creators and their communities share common incentives through self-interest in success. MetaFactory has created a crowdfunding platform with the aim of creating community owned brands where the initial focus is on fashion/clothes. The platform provides creators and communities with a unique opportunity to share responsibility and share success through Brand Factories.
The Brand Factory is a decentralized organization that promotes collective brand management. The traditional distinction between supporters and artists is blurring as everyone participates in brand management in a positive community with aligned incentives.
Factory members share responsibility for running the brand through Factory membership. The Factory membership includes: MetaFactory, brand artists/designers and community supporters.

Each brand factory is responsible for the development, production and marketing of its products. The original artist/designer provides a brand-specific style guide that sets the standard for using typography, iconography, and illustrations when creating new products. The artist is usually in charge of designing the products, but the Factory members themselves may also propose brand-appropriate product designs, which will be voted on by the other members.
The creation of proposals, voting and general management of the Factory takes place directly on the MetaFactory platform. Brand Factories may use any MetaFactory auction and/or sales strategies for their products. New products are listed on the MetaFactory marketplace. The production and sale of all products is carried out by MetaFactory under the direction of each brand factory.

Commodity auctions raise funds in the form of DAI (a third-party stablecoin powered by Ethereum). Brand Factory manages DAI, including any surplus left after paying the cost of manufacturing, fulfillment and other service providers, if applicable. The founding artists/designers of the brand and MetaFactory have the option to redeem any or all parts of their individual Factory membership at any time. At the same time, the percentage of Factory membership decreases, while the percentage of other Factory members increases. Thus, if the brand's founder artist(s)/designer(s) and/or MetaFactory decide to buy out their Factory membership, the leadership vote and brand value will be proportionally skewed in favor of the other Factory members.
A brand is not a single concept, but a set of ideas. It is the sum of all concepts, impressions, perceptions, interactions of consumers with a product or company. He lives (and dies) by public opinion. This may be reported by the official marketing of the company, but it is determined by users through public reviews, blogs, social networks and much more.

Companies today have more control over how they create, market, market, and ship their products. However, consumers have more control over how they discover and decide which brands to trust. The result is a closer and more direct relationship between brands and users, with an increased focus on participation on both sides.
Companies have addressed this change, driven by digitalization and networked communications, by increasing transparency and implementing proactive consumer engagement through advocacy programs. MetaFactory aims to take it one step further by giving consumers the opportunity to become official members of the brand.

Brand members are no longer passive participants, they are actively involved in defining the meaning of the brand and its relation to the market. They can guide and influence the brand based on their personal values and needs. Brand factories promote collaborative management for the benefit of the brand and its members.
To capitalize on the positive network effect, brands must become increasingly decentralized, sharing the burden of responsibility and the potential for success directly with their community. Public consensus increases and more value is created when all stakeholders are aligned and community members have a say in the future of the brand.
Here is how it will work:
1. The designer makes an offer to sell the product;
2. Curators can “charge” a proposal by stake their ROBOT tokens on it. The more ROBOT is at stake, the faster it will charge;
3. Once the offer has accumulated enough charge, it will go into production and pre-orders/sales will open;
4. Curators who bid on this product will receive X ROBOT for every dollar sold in proportion to how much "charge" they contributed.
