Mantel September 2024 Series A Funding Round

Mantel has secured $30 million in Series A funding to scale its molten borate carbon capture technology, which aims to reduce costs by over 50% compared to conventional methods. The funding, led by Shell Ventures and Eni Next, will support a demonstration project capturing 1,800 tonnes of CO₂ per year at an industrial site. Mantel's technology uses high-temperature liquid-phase carbon capture materials, improving efficiency and making carbon capture economically viable for heavy industry sectors like cement and steel.
