MAJEL BARRETT

MAJEL LEIGH RODDENBERRY

Born February 23, 1932, in Cleveland (Ohio, USA).

From childhood she dreamed of becoming an actress and took acting lessons. After studying at Miami University began her career as a theatrical actress. In 1955 she toured with an off-Broadway troupe.

In the early 1960s, she appeared as a guest star in then-popular television series such as Leave It to Beaver, The Lucy Show and Bonanza and The Lieutenant.

On Star Trek, she played the role of Nurse Christine Chapel, playing in 29 episodes of the original series, nine episodes of the animated series (voice), as well as the feature films Star Trek:The Movie and Star Trek IV: Journey Home.

Passed away on December 18, 2008.
