Lithos Energy is a San Francisco-based manufacturing and engineering company that designs, builds, and integrates lithium-ion battery systems for a range of applications, including aerospace, automotive, marine, and stationary energy storage. The company was founded in 2015 by two MIT engineers who previously worked for large electric vehicle companies in the United States. All Lithos Energy battery packs are designed and assembled in California using automated systems for key assembly steps. Lithos works in partnership with its sister company, Stafl Systems, to integrate battery management systems and bring additional design and engineering capabilities.
Lithos Energy's product range includes the following:

Lithos low-voltage pack.
These are fully integrated, 18650-based battery packs that can be ordered as either a 2.45 kWh high energy pack or a 2.1 kWh balanced pack for a mix of power and energy density. Other cells are available for specialty packs. The packs feature a lightweight polymer enclosure that is factory sealed and IP67 rated. The batteries can be configured for connection in parallel up to 12 units to meet a variety of application needs. Units include an integrated battery management system (BMS) that monitors battery pack operation and health. The BMS calculates the State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH), broadcasting these values over a CAN 2.0B network.

Lithos high-voltage pack.
Designed for vehicle, marine, and off-road applications, Lithos high-voltage packs can be configured for either high energy or high power applications using Lithos Gen4 module technology. With a Passively Propagation Resistant (PPR) design, high-voltage battery management system, and an IP67 rugged aluminum enclosure, Lithos's high-voltage battery packs are designed for demanding and safety-critical applications. They are produced on a built-to-order basis, with a standard lead time of 16-20 weeks. Expedited lead time is also offered, subject to availability.

Lithos rack mount packs.
Designed for stationary energy storage applications, Lithos mount rack packs support a variety of system configurations, including parallel and series connections at the pack level. Each pack includes an integrated BMS that monitors the voltage of each cell group, as well as a number of temperature sensors that are placed within the pack. Data is broadcast over a CAN 2.0B network, and cell balancing commands are received from a BMS Master that manages the entire battery pack.
Their highest performance range, Lithos Energy designs and builds custom liquid-cooled battery packs for vehicles.
