Lev Shestov

Lev Shestov (1866-1938) was a philosopher who held citizenship in multiple countries throughout his life. Born in Kyiv on January 31, 1866, Shestov was initially a citizen of the Russian Empire. Later, he became a citizen of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, Switzerland, and finally France, where he passed away in Paris on November 19, 1938.

Shestov received his education at Moscow State University. Throughout his life, he made notable contributions to the field of philosophy as an influential thinker.
