Kiyoshi Shiga

Kiyoshi Shiga (しが きよし) was a Japanese physician and biologist born in Sendai on February 7, 1871. He held Japanese nationality and studied at the University of Tokyo. Shiga worked under the guidance of his doctoral advisor, Kitasato Shibasaburō.

He passed away in his birthplace, Sendai, on January 25, 1957. During his lifetime, Shiga made valuable contributions to the fields of biology and medicine.
