Kenyon Cox

Kenyon Cox was an American illustrator, writer, and artist. Born on October 27, 1856, in Warren, Ohio, he held citizenship of the United States. Cox received his education at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, a prestigious fine arts school located in France.

During his career, Kenyon Cox contributed to various artistic fields, becoming a prominent figure in American illustrated art. Besides being an illustrator, he also pursued writing and remained active as an artist.

Cox passed away on March 17, 1919, in New York City. He was the father of Allyn Cox, who also became an artist.
