Kazuo Koike

Kazuo Koike (born on May 8, 1936 in Daisen, Akita, and died on April 17, 2019 in Tokyo) was a Japanese screenwriter, lyricist, and mangaka (a manga artist). He held citizenship in Japan and was educated at Chuo University. In Japan, he is also known as こいけ かずお.

Koike focused on comics as a genre and was the creator of some notable works like Lone Wolf and Cub, Golgo 13, and Crying Freeman. With his vast experience in various fields within the entertainment industry, Koike played a significant role in shaping the world of Japanese comics.
