It is not for nothing that the vast majority of pilots, regardless of the classes of races in which they perform (with open or closed wheels), started with karting. Many, by the way, continue to train on "maps" in order to keep themselves in shape.
Karting teaches you to feel the car, understand the physics of driving a rear-wheel drive car and instills basic skills that will certainly be useful later in all disciplines of motorsport. However, even if you are not going to become a pilot, then for the same reasons karting will be useful for driving an ordinary car on public roads. How to study?
An important point should be noted here. It doesn't matter how many times you have come to the go-kart club by yourself. You can only really learn with an experienced coach. Independent progress, of course, no one cancels. After all, due to physical characteristics, each person will progress differently.
A good coach will be able to pay attention to mistakes, explain how to use the twisting of the map frame in turns, teach the basics of choosing a trajectory, help get the right reflexes. For example, hardly an inexperienced driver knows that the steering wheel only sets the direction of movement, but is controlled (turns) maps with pedals. Or, what seems to him to be a series of left turns is actually one maneuver, which is passed with one movement of the steering wheel and its further smooth straightening.
It is important not to memorize one route, but to understand the nuances of the trajectory. After all, even in one small karting club there can be several track configurations. Rolling will help to understand the car and distinguish between fast and “tired" cards. Yes, even in good karting clubs, the equipment may differ due to wear and tear.
