Karl Ziegler

Karl Ziegler was a German chemist and engineer, born on November 26, 1898, in Helsa, Germany. He is best known for receiving the 1963 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Ziegler completed his education at RWTH Aachen University and the University of Marburg. He worked under the guidance of doctoral advisor Karl von Auwers. Throughout his career, Ziegler held occupations as a chemist and an engineer. He passed away in Mülheim, Germany, on August 12, 1973.
