Judith Malina

Judith Malina (1926-2015) was a German-American writer, playwright, theatre director, actor, and poet. She was born in Kiel, Germany, in the Weimar Republic, and later became a citizen of the United States. Malina was educated at The New School in New York City.

Malina was the co-founder of The Living Theatre, an influential experimental theatre company. Throughout her career, she contributed greatly to the development and production of numerous theatrical works, exploring social and political themes.

Judith Malina passed away on April 10, 2015, in Englewood, New Jersey.
