John Whitgift was a citizen of the Kingdom of England who was born in Grimsby in 1530. He received his education at Pembroke College, Cambridge and later at Queens' College, Cambridge. Whitgift's occupation was an Archbishop, and he eventually died in London on February 29, 1604. John Whitgift was the founder of the Whitgift Foundation, an organization established for educational initiatives.
