John L. Hall

John L. Hall , born on August 21, 1934 in Denver , is a physicist from the United States . He is known for being a recipient of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Physics .

Hall completed his education at South High School (Denver) , Carnegie Mellon University , and the University of Glasgow . Throughout his career, he has mentored numerous students, including doctoral student Jun Ye .

Also known by the nickname "Jan," Hall is currently located in the United States .
