John Carmack

John Carmack, born on August 20, 1970, is a programmer, computer scientist, engineer, and businessperson from the United States. He was born in Roeland Park, Kansas, and currently resides in Dallas.

Carmack is the founder of Armadillo Aerospace, and has served as a Chief Technology Officer(CTO). He was educated at Shawnee Mission East High School, Raytown South High School, and the University of Missouri–Kansas City.

He has worked on notable video games, such as Doom (1993 video game), Quake (video game), and Wolfenstein 3D. Throughout his career, John Carmack has received awards, including the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame.
