John Carlos

John Wesley Carlos was born on May 6, 1945, in New York City. He is a citizen of the United States. John Carlos is the son of Vioris and Earl V. Carlos, Sr..

Carlos received an education at several institutions, including San Jose State University, Texas A&M University–Commerce, and California State University. During his athletic career, Carlos earned a gold medal in the 200-meter event at the 1967 Pan American Games held in Winnipeg. Additionally, John Carlos secured a bronze medal in the 200-meter event during the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City.
