Jefferson Airplane was a musical band formed in 1965, in the music industry. They were a San Francisco-based band known for their genre of psychedelic rock, acid rock, and garage rock. Some key members of the band included Signe Toly Anderson, Marty Balin, and Paul Kantner.
Marty Balin was the author of the song "My Best Friend", while Paul Kantner wrote "Somebody to Love". The band also founded Grunt Records in 1971. Jefferson Airplane disbanded in 1996.
