James Kasinger

Mr. James Kasinger has served as our General Counsel and Secretary since May 2017. He brings nearly 20 years of experience advising and counseling public and private companies in the biotechnology and technology sectors. Before joining our company, Jim served as the General Counsel and Secretary of Moderna Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focusing on the development of messenger RNA medicines, from April 2014 to May 2017. At Moderna, he helped lead two equity financings (raising nearly $1 billion) and several collaborations, including with AstraZeneca, Merck and Vertex. Before that, Jim served as General Counsel of PlumChoice, a provider of technical support services to Fortune 1000 companies, from August 2011 to April 2014. Prior to these roles, Jim was a Partner at Goodwin Procter LLP, where he represented life sciences, technology and other high-growth companies in all stages of their life cycles. Jim holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. from Wheaton College.
