James Cruze (born March 27, 1884, in Ogden, Utah, and died August 3, 1942, in Los Angeles ) was an American actor and film director. He held US citizenship and was best known for his career in the film industry.
Cruze was the director of several films, including "Waking Up the Town", "The Wrong Road", "Sutter's Gold", "Two-Fisted", "Helldorado", "Mr. Skitch", "I Cover the Waterfront", "The Great Gabbo", "The Duke Steps Out", "The Mating Call", "The City Gone Wild", and "Beggar on Horseback".
