Factory history
The Elektrosignal plant was founded on September 10, 1931.
Having started its production activity with the production of railway terminals, the enterprise in 1932 was reorganized into a large radio plant. In a record short time, the production of radio products was launched. Already in 1933, the first batch of P-8 detector receivers was produced.
Increasing the production potential, in the mid-30s. factory workers mastered the production of SI-235 and SI-236 tube receivers, which contributed to the radio coverage of rural areas.
In 1939, a 6-tube 3-band radio receiver "6-N-1" rolled off the assembly line. In terms of its parameters, it was not inferior to the best foreign models.
The peaceful life of the Soviet people was cut short on June 22, 1941, by the perfidious attack of Nazi Germany. In October - December 1941, the plant was evacuated to Novosibirsk. While the last echelon was still on the way (arrived on December 29, 1941), the first batch of radio stations for the front was sent to the active army (December 24, 1941).
In total, during the war years, the Novosibirsk Electrosignal provided every aircraft and every third tank with radio communications. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated January 21, 1944, the plant was awarded the Order of Lenin "... for the exemplary fulfillment of orders for the front."
In May 1943, the first echelon from Novosibirsk arrived in liberated Voronezh. The destroyed plant was being restored and the electric signalers began serial production of the VP-2 and VP-3 radio mobiles for the front.
The post-war period was marked by the release of Rodina-46, Rodina-47, Rodina-52 radio receivers.
In the 1950s, a new industry was mastered at the enterprise: the development and mass production of radio stations for the national economy (for agriculture, ambulance, police).
In 1953, the plant began producing the first KVN-49 televisions in the country, and in 1955 the enterprise began producing black-and-white Record televisions.
An important government order was completed by Elektrosignal in 1957. Especially for the World Festival of Youth and Students, which was held in the country, the plant produced souvenir radio receivers "Festivalny".
A year later, the enterprise flashed at the international exhibition in Brussels. Automobile radio station "Mars" received high marks from the expert jury and won the Big Gold Medal and Grand Prix.
In 1958, the Voronezh television won international recognition, being awarded a Gold Medal at a prestigious exhibition in New York in the nominations “design” and “image quality”.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated July 29, 1966, the Voronezh plant "Electrosignal" was awarded the Order of Lenin "... for merits in the creation, production of new equipment and the successful implementation of the plan for 1959 - 1965."
In 1983, the plant began production of color TV sets "Record VTs-311", and in 1985 - "Record VTs-381". Both TV models were awarded the State Quality Mark.
The 1980s are memorable for our country by the military conflict in Afghanistan. Many soldiers' lives in that war were saved by the R-159M radio station. About the products of this generation, military experts said: "easy to operate, reliable in battle."
In 1983, Elektrosignal mastered the production of the fourth-generation radio station of the Arbalet complex (wearable R-163-1V and portable R-163-10V). They were developed by the Voronezh Research Institute of Communications.
In 1991, the first batch of VELS color TV sets was mastered.
In 1993, the Elektrosignal production association became known as a joint-stock company.
In the difficult perestroika years, the plant management focused on the production of radio communications. In the most difficult conditions of underfunding, thanks to joint work with the team of developers of VNIIS, the radio stations of the Akveduk complex were mastered and transferred to mass production.
Since 1998, the electric signalers have mastered the refinement and modernization of non-core products - command and command vehicles. Since 2007, the plant has mastered and started serial production of command and command vehicles on modern bases of armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and K1-Sh1.
Today's factory
JSC "Electrosignal" in its activities is constantly expanding production volumes and the range of products. Command and staff vehicles on various bases (R-149MA, R-149MG, MP-1I-M, PUS-D, PBZI, PU AN) are supplied for the automated complex of the Unified Tactical Control System of the Ministry of Defense.
The production volumes and the range of export options for the products of the Aqueduct complex and the TUF family of products have significantly increased. The products of the "RAZMAKH" complex have been successfully mastered in production and are mass-produced.
Particular attention is paid to the serial production of the Argon-E digital VHF communications complex, which is in demand in the law enforcement agencies of the FSB, FSO, and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Also, within the framework of cooperation, the enterprise participates in equipping the Iskander-M missile system. Experimental and design work is underway on other promising orders.
One of the priority areas for the production of civilian products is the locomotive radio station "Transport" in the interests of RAO "Russian Railways".
In 2012, the enterprise became part of JSC Concern Sozvezdie, which gave a powerful impetus to its development. Since 2014 JSC Concern Sozvezdie has been a part of JSC United Instrument-Making Corporation of the Rostec State Corporation.
JSC "Electrosignal" has a wide range of different industries equipped with high-performance equipment and advanced technologies. Among them: galvanic, mechanical, ceramic, rubber, foundry, plastic, stamping and assembly production.
At present, the management of the enterprise has taken a course towards an integrated approach to the supply of products. At the same time, the radio engineering object, in addition to the radio communication facility, is equipped with modems, consoles, cryptographic protection devices, filters, antennas, masts, power supply devices, intercom and switching equipment, automation equipment, as well as cable devices. The enterprise annually masters three or four new products developed by Concern Sozvezdie JSC.
