Irma Thomas (born February 18, 1941) is an American musician, composer, and singer primarily known for her work in the soul music, rhythm and blues, and pop music genres. She was born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, United States, and her birth name is Irma Lee. Thomas holds American nationality and is a citizen of the United States.
Thomas is commonly known as "The Soul Queen of New Orleans" and is recognized for her involvement in the music industry. Some of her notable work comprises her contributions to movies like "Подвійне звинувачення" (1999), "Загадкова справа Бенджаміна Баттона" (2008), and "Поза законом" (1986).
