Houston Bionics specializes in robotic rehabilitation devices. Their ExoRehab X is designed for upper extremity rehabilitation and integrates with games that help patients maintain motivation for a long period of time and can be used with highly repeated intensive exercises. The device provides data about the quality of the patient’s movement. Houston Bionics has offices in the US, Germany and Turkey.

CEO and Co-founder Ali Utku Pehlivan has a PhD in mechanical engineering from Rice University and has previously worked at Texas Medical Center with neurologically impaired subjects. Pehlivan held research positions at Intel and Disney Research. Co-founder and CTO Kutay Pehlivan is the lead engineer with a dual degree in mechanical engineering from Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul and FH Düsseldorf, Germany.
