Helmuth Rilling (born 29 May 1933) is a German composer and conductor. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany and studied at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart.
Rilling is the founder of the Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart, an institution dedicated to the study and performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's music. Over the years, he has received numerous awards, including Grammy Awards.
