Harvey Washington Wiley

Harvey Washington Wiley (1844-1930) was a chemist from the United States. Born in Kent, Jefferson County, Indiana, he later passed away in Washington, D.C.. Wiley was educated at Harvard University and went on to become a chemist by profession.

Wiley was the founder of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Throughout his life, he contributed to the field of chemistry and played a crucial role in establishing the FDA, which is now an important regulatory agency in the United States.
