Harold McMaster (born July 20, 1916, died August 25, 2003) was an American physicist holding citizenship in the United States. He completed his education at Defiance College and Ohio State University. Over the course of his career, McMaster was mainly occupied as a physicist.

McMaster went on to become the founder of First Solar, a solar energy company. His efforts in his field were recognized with the prestigious 2008 National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductee award. Harold McMaster passed away in Perrysburg, Ohio on August 25, 2003.
