Grant Allen

Grant Allen was born as Charles Grant Blairfindie Allen on February 24, 1848, in Kingston, Ontario . He was a writer with dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland .

Allen was educated at Merton College, Oxford and spent some time living in Switzerland . In his writing career, Allen used various pseudonyms, including Martin Leach Warborough, J. Arbuthnot Wilson, Cecil Power, and Olive Pratt Rayner . One of his notable works was titled "The Woman Who Did" . He passed away on October 25, 1899, in Surrey .
