Golda Meir

Golda Meir was born on April 21, 1898, in Kyiv , which was part of the Russian Empire at the time . She later became a citizen of Mandatory Palestine and Israel . Meir was a politician , diplomat , and teacher in Israel . She received her education at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and North Division High School in Milwaukee . On December 8, 1978, Meir passed away in Jerusalem .
