Geoffrey Chaucer

Geoffrey Chaucer was a politician, writer, poet, lyricist, philosopher, translator, and linguist from the Kingdom of England. He was born in London in 1340 and also died in London on October 25, 1400.

Chaucer is best known for his work, The Canterbury Tales, which is a collection of stories written in verse. He wrote primarily in the genre of poetry. Thomas Chaucer, one of his children, went on to become an influential figure in English history.
