GENE BARRY
EUGENE KLASS.
American actor and singer.
He was born on June 14, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York (USA) to an immigrant family from Russia.
His real name and last name is Eugene Klass.
Since childhood he was fond of creative work, sang beautifully, played the violin. In 1944 with great success debuted on Broadway in the musical "Catherine the Great.
In the cinema since 1951. First big role in the movie Dr. Clayton Forrester in "War of the Worlds" (1953). Later became famous as an actor in the TV series.
In 1965, Gene Barry was awarded the Golden Globe for his role as the millionaire Amos Bark in the TV series "Justice Bark" (1963-1967), in 1993, Gene Barry continued to play this role in another series.
One of his best roles was as psychiatrist Dr. Ray Flemming in the Detective Columbo: The Precept (1968).
He passed away on December 9, 2009 in Los Angeles.
PRIZES AND AWARDS
In 1987 he was awarded the Golden Boot Award's honorary prize.
