Freyr Capital Partners is a microventure capital firm in Norway that focuses on supporting and funding storage-related applications and technologies. Founded 2011 in Oslo, Norway, it invests in seed rounds and angel rounds. Its portfolio companies include Prodess and CargoSpotter. As of June 2020, Freyr Capital Partners has made two investments. Their most recent investment was on January 1, 2013 with Prodess. In June 2019, FREYR AS, announced that EIT InnoEnergy, a sustainable energy company in Europe, has signed an agreement to invest in the company. This investment backs FREYR’s plan to build a 32 GWh battery cell production facility in Rana Municipality, Norway.
