Fair Ventures is the investment and innovation unit of Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd, a Canadian financial services holding company. Founded 2015 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, this private equity firm usually funds seed and early stage ventures. Its portfolio companies include Dozr (a contractor to contractor equipment rental marketplace for the construction industry) and Dream Payments (a company enables merchants to sell everywhere using mobile devices). As of January 2020, the company had three investments. FairVentures operates an innovation and research lab at the Communitech Hub in Kitchener, Ontario that provides access to the vibrant technology and entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Waterloo Region.
