Formoza (Russian Formoza) is a Russian company, developer and manufacturer of motherboards and computer equipment. It is one of the leaders in the Russian IT industry.
"Formosa" - a manufacturer of motherboards
Formosa was founded on June 22, 1993 as a supplier of components for computer assembly. In 1994, the company began mass production of computers, and in 1996 launched a conveyor line for assembly and thermal testing of PCs, as well as a line for assembling memory modules.
In 1997, with the participation of the Taiwanese company Lucky Star, the production of motherboards began at the Formosa factories, and since 1998, video adapters. In 1998, Formoza launched the production of monitors under license from Bridge, and in 1999, the production of monitors under the Samtron trademark under license from Samsung.
In 2003, the Formoza retail chain of stores includes more than 150 stores in 120 Russian cities. The network of service centers consists of 112 authorized certified centers in 76 cities.
In 2008, the 300th Formoza Computers store was opened.
