Ericsson Ventures is a California based venture capital firm investing in early-stage and late-stage emerging technology companies. Founded in 2002, Ericsson Ventures is a subsidiary of Ericsson, a Swedish multinational networking and telecommunications company. The venture capital arm is focused on IoT, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Software Defined Networking, Analytics, Connected Cars, Cyber Security, Wireless, Mobile Advertising, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality. With the leverage of its parent company’s international influence, it offers extensive networking possibilities for its portfolio companies. As of 2019, the company has invested in 25 companies with eight successful exits.
