Doppo Kunikida (くにきだ どっぽ) was a Japanese poet, novelist, writer, and contributing editor. He was born on July 15, 1871, in Chōshi and held Japanese citizenship. Kunikida was educated at Waseda University.
Besides his literary career, he was also the founder of Fujin Gahō, a magazine. Doppo Kunikida died on June 23, 1908, in Chigasaki, Kanagawa. As a prominent figure in Japan's literary scene, Kunikida's work and contributions to the field have made him an important person in the country's cultural history.
