Domitian's father was Vespasian , and his mother was Domitilla the Elder . He was married to Domitia Longina , and they had a child named Flavia, who later became a martyr .

During his early years, Domitian was given the title Caesar Domitianus between 69 and 81 AD . Later, he was known as Imperator Caesar Domitianus Augustus . Domitian held Italian nationality and lived in Italy .
