A new local relief fund is launching in Dallas, this one aimed specifically at helping minority- and women-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs weather the economic crisis caused by Covid-19. With the help of the Communities Foundation of Texas and LiftFund, the Dallas Entrepreneur Center (DEC) Network announced the new Revive Dallas Small Business Relief Fund to provide loans to local entrepreneurs and small businesses. It has already secured more than $1 million for the fund, with a goal of reaching $5 million. "We started seeing small businesses and entrepreneurs affected by COVID-19 that haven't been able to get the resources they need to survive, such as funding, mentorship and access to a breadth of organizations across the region that can help," said Trey Bowles, co-founder and executive chairman of the DEC Network, in a prepared statement.
