Cindy Sherman

Cindy Sherman was born on January 19, 1954, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey , and is a U.S. citizen . Sherman is an artist known for her work as a photographer, film director, and artist. She attended Buffalo State College for her education .

Sherman has mainly worked in portrait and self-portrait genres . Some of her notable works include "Untitled 96" and "Untitled 153" . As a testament to her achievements, Sherman was awarded the MacArthur Fellow.
