Captown is a Kazakh hip-hop trio from Nur-Sultan. The collective consists of Zaton, FortyGunz and Bluez. In the past they may have been known as "KEYPTOWN" and JANUARY'72. The creativity of the group has elements of classical rap and rap. The members are among the leading representatives of the Kazakh new-school. Signed by the Russian label Zion Music since 2020. CAPTOWN first debuted in early 2018 with the track "Our Space." In the early stages, the band didn't have a permanent name me the old-fashioned "CAPTOWN" and January'72.

The composition of the participants themselves is approximately measured: at the dawn of the group included only B.zee (Bakha Myrzaly a.k.a FortyGunz) and Azk (Azat Kamalov a.k.a Qantarskii BlueZ). This was followed by several releases, joint tracks with Uzi. The band was promoted by the now-defunct label Blood with Milk. On May 18 the single "Dusty City" was released, in which the rapper Zaton, then not yet a permanent member, appeared for the first time.

In 2019, the band, with an already defined lineup and new nicknames, debuted on streaming platforms with the track "Ah, by the Spruce." The band's first music video was released on May 21 of the same year for the track "Fragrance." The real breakthrough was caused by the first EP January, released symbolically in January with the support of the Golden Sound label. After that they gave their first concert in a famous club "16 tons" in Moscow. The artists were noticed in Russia and the signing to a major music label didn't take long.

Starting with the single "In the Morning" all their music is released under the patronage of Zion Music. Thanks to this collaboration, on July 8, 2020, the band records a collaboration with Levan Gorozia a.k.a. L.One.
