Baselayer Ventures is a venture capital firm that was founded in 2021 and is based in Gulf Stream, Florida. The firm is focused on early stage investments in companies the firm feels have strong foundations for global scale. This includes searching for investment opportunities at the intersection of consumer needs and technologies and with new business models. This includes investments in companies building in the application layer of business-to-consumer products or in the infrastructure stack in business-to-business companies focusing on the following areas:

• Healthcare and personal wellbeing and performance, including digital technologies, wearable devices, and consumer platforms
• Sustainability, including innovations that remove guilt from consumption and provides transparency for consumers
• Marketplaces, including platforms for re-use and the exchange of consumer goods
• Virtual goods and experiences, including technologies that engage the "second self" through bridging of physical and digital goods

Baselayer Ventures offers connections, including through a strategic relationship with VF Corporation, which includes brands such as Vans, Timberland, Dickies, The North Face, and Eastpak. As well, the firm works to provide companies they have invested in with expertise in sustainable and lifestyle categories and provide founders with consumer insight in lifestyle, activity, and experiences those consumers enjoy. And Baselayer Ventures works to connect companies with incubators and growth enabling platforms.
