Anne Lee Skates

Anne Lee Skates is a San Francisco

-based investor. She

holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Princeton University. She has worked as head of user experience as well as an engineer. She began inv esting in 2018 and is now a partner at Andreessen Horowitz.

Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, she was a seed stage investor at Floodgate, where she sourced and led several consumer investments. Before that she worked as an early hire in product and engineering roles at two startups, Solve Health and FundersClub. She started her career in consulting at McKinsey in San Francisco.

Originally from Taiwan, she came to the US to become a professional violinist and performed a solo at the 49th Grammy Awards.
