Amerish Babulal "Ami" Bera (/ˈɑːmi ˈbɛrə/; born March 2, 1965) is an American physician and politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 7th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, his district encompasses most of Sacramento's eastern and southern suburbs, including Elk Grove, Folsom.
