Alexis Bouvard

Alexis Bouvard (27 June 1767 - 7 June 1843) was an astronomer born in Les Contamines-Montjoie, Savoy. Savoy was the country of his citizenship. Bouvard dedicated his life to the study of stars and celestial bodies, making astronomy his primary occupation. He passed away in Paris at the age of 75.
