Al Jourgensen

Al Jourgensen, born Alejandro Ramirez Casas, is a versatile musician and music executive with multiple occupations, such as a composer, disc jockey, guitarist, record producer, and singer. Born on October 9, 1958, in Havana, Jourgensen holds dual citizenship in the United States and Cuba.

Al Jourgensen has studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Northern Colorado. He is the founder of 13th Planet Records, and his works span across a variety of genres, including industrial rock, synth-pop, industrial metal, and new wave music.

Throughout his career, Jourgensen has used multiple aliases. Some of them include Alain Jourgensen, The Alien, Alien Jourgensen, and Hypo Luxa. Currently, he is based in Los Angeles.
