Adam West (born William West Anderson), was an American actor, presenter, and comedian. He was best known for his role as Batman in the 1960s television series and later for his work as a voice actor for animated television shows.
Born on September 19, 1928, in Walla Walla, Washington, West held citizenship in the United States. He attended numerous educational institutions including Whitman College, Lakeside School in Seattle, and the University of Puget Sound.
Throughout his acting career, West performed in various genres, such as westerns. Apart from his notable role in Batman, West was known for his voice work in animated television shows including The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Fairly OddParents, and a guest appearance in The Big Bang Theory (season 9).
Adam West passed away on June 9, 2017, in Los Angeles. At the time of his death, he resided in Palm Springs, California.
